Admissions
Admitted to practice law in the States of Oklahoma (1976) and Illinois (1977), the Federal District Court of Northern Illinois (General and Trial Bar), Arizona, the Federal District Court of Oklahoma, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the U.S. Seventh and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Claims, the United States Tax Court, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Practice
Represents individuals and companies throughout the United States before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of Labor (DOL), the Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and U.S. Embassies and Consulates worldwide, as well as before federal district and bankruptcy courts. With 50 years of legal practice, it brings longstanding experience to complex immigration and international matters.
Education
Received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois; a Master of Arts degree from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, Illinois; a Juris Doctor degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law; and an LL.M. (Advanced Law Degree) from DePaul University Graduate School of the College of Law in Chicago.
Academic Appointments & Teaching
Has served on the faculty of The Oklahoma City University School of Law and currently serves on the graduate faculty of the Webster University Global Campus. Has also served as a Visiting Professor at DePaul University College of Law and Graduate School in Chicago.
Served on the graduate faculty of the University of Liverpool’s Law School Master’s in International Law program from 2009 to 2017, until the program was discontinued. Thereafter, was appointed as a dissertation supervisor with the University of Salford in Manchester, England, and the University of Cumbria in Carlisle, England.
Has taught law at the graduate level in Singapore and the People’s Republic of China. Also serves on DePaul University’s College of Law Health Law Institute Advisory Board.
Also serves in connection with Benedictine University’s online Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) program, including its international and China-based academic components.
Professional Associations & Honors
Has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1987. Is past Chair of the International and Immigration Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association.
Holds a high to highest (BV) rating from Martindale-Hubbell, an international attorney ranking organization.
